Today sees harmonia mundi release the first joint recording for Pablo Heras-Casado and Javier Perianes, in an album dedicated to Bartók created from a live concert recording with the Münchner Philharmoniker. Long-time friends, frequent collaborators on stage and each with already extensive personal discographies, they now join forces on Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3, the last work written by the composer. The album also includes another of his masterworks, the Concerto for Orchestra. Heras-Casado and Perianes tour Spain with the Münchner Philharmoniker in February to perform the Piano Concerto. Concerts take place Barcelona, Madrid, Canary Islands Festival (Fuerteventura, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Tenerife).
