
MARTIN FRÖST BEGINS HIS RESIDENCY WITH NDR ELBPHILHARMONIE ORCHESTER

Martin Fröst begins his 2025/26 season residency with NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester this season with two concerts on 9 and 12 October at Elbphilharmonie, Großer Saal in Hamburg. This is under the baton of Alan Gilbert, performing Hillborg’s Peacock Tales.
He also joins the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on 3 November, conducted by Lahav Shani and for Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet in a concert that is Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s premiere at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
On the third appointment of his residency, Fröst joins forces with renowned conductor Paavo Järvi on 26 and 27 February at the Elbphilharmonie to perform Nielsen’s Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra.
Concluding Fröst’s season as Artist in Residence with NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, he performs a chamber music concert on 21 April; and two concerts with Sakari Oramo, on the podium and violinist Vadim Gluzman on 23 and 24 April. The programme features Beamish’s Distans double concerto for violin and clarinet.
