Paavo Järvi returns to conduct Chicago Symphony Orchestra
After almost 13 years, Paavo Järvi returns to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with three concerts on 4, 5 and 8 March. The programme will feature Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overtureand Symphonie Fantastique, as well as Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Benjamin Grosvenor.
Shortly thereafter, Paavo Järvi conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra on 18, 19 and 20 March with a programme including Pärt’s Silhouette, Hommage à Gustave Eiffel, Barber’s Violin Concerto with Hilary Hahn and Dvořák’s Symphony No.7.
