On 20 and 21 October Lionel Bringuier conducts the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, with soloist Christian Tetzlaff on violin. The concerts open with Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz No. 1 from Der Tanz in der Dorfschenke, followed by Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77. The programme closes with a work from another Hungarian composer, Kodály’s Dances of Galanta.
