Božidar Smiljanić joins Oper Frankfurt as a member of the Ensemble for the 2018/19 season and makes his debut there on 25 August as Sprecher in Die Zauberflöte under General Music Director Sebastian Weigle. 

His other appearances there this season include a string of role debuts as Garibaldo in Claus Guth’s new production of Rodelinda, alongside Andreas Scholl as Bertarido and conducted by Andrea Marcon, as Ariodate in Xerxes, alongside Lawrence Zazzo as Arsamene and conducted by Constantinos Carydis, as Zuniga in Barrie Kosky’s production of Carmen, and the Hunter in Rusalka, again under Weigle.
