Hannu Lintu returns to the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra

On 23 January Hannu Lintu returns to Japan to conduct the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra for the first time since 2011.
On this occasion Lintu conducts the world premiere of Toshi Ichiyanagi’s Symphony No.9 as well as Sibelius’ Night Ride and Sunrise. He is also joined by Peter Wispelwey as soloist in Lutosławski’s Cello Concerto.
Later this year Lintu will return to Asia when he embarks on a tour of China, Korea, and Japan with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
