Klaus Mäkelä debuts with Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra
Klaus Mäkelä opens his 2017/18 season with debut performances conducting the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra (13 and 14 September) as part of the Finland 100 celebrations. In his season-opening concerts Mäkelä will conduct Zinovjev’s Batteria for orchestra, Sibelius’ Symphony No.7, and Sallinen’s The Nocturnal Dances of Don Juan Quixote with Jan-Erik Gustafsson.
Next in Mäkelä’s diary are debut performances with Lahti Symphony Orchestra and Javier Perianes (21 September) and Norrköping Symphony Orchestra with Víkingur Ólafsson (5 and 6 October).
