3/5/2016
In collaboration with Bill Palant at Étude Arts LLC, HarrisonParrott is delighted to announce the representation of bass-baritone Andrew Foster-Williams with immediate effect.
Foster-Williams’ career, built on strong baroque credentials, has in recent seasons found a more dramatic direction with successes as Don Pizarro (Fidelio), Friedrich von Telramund (Lohengrin), Captain Balstrode (Peter Grimes), Nick Shadow (The Rake’s Progress) and Golaud (Pelléas et Mélisande). Presently appearing as both Donner and Gunther in Opera North’s acclaimed Ring Cycles, next season brings his first staged Lohengrin at La Monnaie under Lothar Koenigs, as well as his debut as Escamillo in Kasper Holten’s new production of Carmen on the lake at the Bregenz Festival.
A busy concert diary brings Andrew Foster-Williams around the globe including appearances with The Cleveland Orchestra (Franz Welser-Möst), Salzburg Mozarteum (Ivor Bolton), San Francisco Symphony (Michael Tilson Thomas) and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Richard Egarr). His extensive repertoire includes Bach’s St Matthew and St John Passions, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, Britten’s War Requiem, Mahler’s Symphony No.8, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten.
