This week’s BBC Music Magazine Awards brought significant recognition to our artists. Timothy Ridout received the BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Award for his 2025 solo album on Harmonia Mundi. Ridout’s brand-new album was released last Friday.

Harry Christophers was named ​‘Personality of the Year’.

Further honours went to HarrisonParrott’s Taavi Oramo, alongside clarinettist Julian Bliss and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, who won the BBC Music Magazine Award in the Concerto category for their recording of Finnish clarinet concertos by Magnus Lindberg and Kalevi Aho.
