9/1/2026
Dalia Stasevska returns to Philadelphia Orchestra for seven captivating performances across two weeks. She’ll lead a programme that pairs John Adams’ high-octane Short Ride in a Fast Machine with Mahler’s serenely beautiful Symphony No.4 and Barber’s melodic Violin Concerto, performed by Augustin Hadelich in three concerts on 9, 10 and 11 January.
On 14 January, Stasevska leads a special concert with the legendary Yo-Yo Ma in Dvořák’s deeply expressive Cello Concerto. The evening also includes Fedir Yakimenko’s Nocturne for String Orchestra and Mendelssohn’s beloved Symphony No.4.
In her final three performances on 15, 16 and 17 January Dalia conducts a bold and eclectic programme featuring Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4, John Williams’ joyful Tuba Concerto with Carol Jantsch as soloist, and Julius Eastman’s monumental Symphony No. 2.
