André de Ridder conducts Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on 27 and 28 June at Muziekgebouw aan ​‘t IJ, Amsterdam, as part of the Holland Festival. The concert brings together Western and Persian instruments, featuring Iranian musicians and composers.

André will be joined by soloists Michael Gieler (viola), Kioomars Musayyebi (santur), Hani Mojtahedi (vocals), and Andi Toma (electronics).

The programme includes the world premiere of Towards Affinity by Nader Adabnejad, commissioned especially for this occasion; a new arrangement by Golfam Khayam of her Concerto for Viola, Santur, and Ensemble; and a new arrangement of Hani Mojtahedi and Andi Toma’s Forbidden Echoes by Ian Anderson.
