With concerts at Teatro alla Scala on 2 May and Auditorium Rai ​“Arturo Toscanini” Turin on 4 May, Maxime Pascal and Patricia Kopatchinskaja join Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai for a programme of contemporary music.

The concert begins and ends with two premieres of works for violin and orchestra: Stefano Gervasoni’s Tacet (2024) receives its world premiere, and the Italian premiere of Aureliano Cattaneo’s Not alone we fly (2021 – 23), written for and dedicated to Kopatchinskaja, concludes the evening.

Soprano Anna Prohaska joins the musicians to perform selections from György Kurtág’s Kafka-Fragmente for soprano and violin and Francesco Filidei’s Canticle of Creatures for soprano and orchestra (2022 – 23).

The concert on 2 May is broadcast live on Rai Radio 3.
