Aziz Shokhakimov conducts the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, of which he is Music Director, in a brand-new recording of Ravel’s symphonie chorégraphique ‘Daphnis et Chloe’. The recording, released on Warner Classics, marks the 150th anniversary of Ravel’s birth, and is the third recording Shokhakimov has made with the orchestra during his tenure. It is available to buy or stream here.

Gustavo Gimeno — Beethoven & Lentz
Violinist Arabella Steinbacher, Luxembourg Philharmonic, and Music Director Gustavo Gimeno present Beethoven’s violin concerto, coupled with Georges Lentz’s Violin Concerto ‘ …to beam in distant heavens…’, written for Steinbacher and inspired by her virtuosity. Lentz’s concerto is equally inspired by William Blake’s poetry, as well as the idea that a future generation will one day look back on us and the way we have destroyed our planet.
