Katarina Dalayman and John Daszak reunite in Rome

Katarina Dalayman and John Daszak return to the roles of Herodias and Herod respectively in Barrie Kosky’s staging of Salome which opens at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma on 7 March. Performances are conducted by Marc Albrecht and continue on 10, 12, 14 and 16 March.
After Rome, Daszak takes on the role of Chabel in performances of Rudi Stephan’s Die ersten Menschen staged by Calixto Bieito and conducted by Robert Treviño at Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao on 18 and 20 April.
Katarina’s recent roles include an acclaimed debut as Madame de Croissy in Barry Kosky’s Dialogues des Carmélites (Glyndebourne Festival Opera and BBC Proms) under Robin Ticciati, Herodias at Royal Opera House Covent Garden under Alexander Soddy and as Kabanicha (Kát’a Kabanová) with the London Symphony Chorus under Simon Rattle, released this month on LSO Live.
