Patrick Hahn steps in with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks
Patrick Hahn conducts the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks on 13 November, replacing Franz Welser- Möst at a very short notice, in a programme with two great Austrian composers:
Franz Schreker: Scherzo and Intermezzo für Streichorchester
Franz Schubert: Symphony No. 5 B‑flat major.
The concert from Munich’s Philharmonie im Gasteig can be streamed on BR-KLASSIK radio’s website.
This follows his success with the NDR Radiophilharmonie where, only just over a week before, he stepped in at last minute to replace Hans Ek to conduct a special programme at the cross-genre series Freistil, featuring the trumpet player Nils Wülker and pieces from his new album ‘GO’. The concert on 29 October is the last to take place in front of an audience at Hannover’s Großer Sendesaal des NDR before the new pandemic measures come into force and is available as video-on-demand on NDR’s website.
