Klaus Mäkelä debuts with L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France on 6 March with Truls Mørk at La Maison de la Radio France. The programme features Sibelius’ Symphony No.1, the Paris premiere of Salonen’s Cello Concerto, and Debussy’s Gigues and Ronde de Printemps. The concert will be broadcast live on Radio France Musique.
On 8 March Mäkelä swaps his baton for his cello to join Mørk and members of the OPRF in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence.
