This week Klaus Mäkelä and Truls Mørk join the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra for the Norwegian Premiere of Salonen’s Cello Concerto with sound design by Ella Wahlström on 13 February at Oslo Konserthus. The programme also features Debussy’s Images and Ravel’s Bolero. 

Mäkelä and Mørk collaborate again this season performing the concerto with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France on 6 March 2020 at Maison de la Radio. At the end of the week in Paris, Mäkelä swaps his baton for his cello to join Mørk and members of the OPRF in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence on 8 March 2020.
