The legendary composer-conductor Penderecki turns 85 this month, and to mark this special occasion the Krzysztof Penderecki Festival is taking place in Warsaw from 16 to 23 November 2018.
Venues and landmarks across the city such as the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, Polish National Opera and the Royal Castle will host performances of his works, including such masterpieces as Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima,Violin Concerto No.2 “Metamorphosen” and Symphony No.6 “Chinese Songs”.
