Paavo Järvi returns to the Berliner Philharmoniker this week for three concerts (14 – 16 May) at the Berliner Philharmonie. He conducts the orchestra in Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.1 as well as Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Yuja Wang as soloist. The concert on 16 May is available for live stream online.

Järvi has recently released two Shostakovich recordings — Symphony No.7 with the Russian National Orchestra on Pentatone and the rarely performed Cantatas with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Estonian National Chorus on Erato/​Warner Classics.
