Camilla Tilling debuts with the New York Philharmonic
12/12/2014
This week, Camilla Tilling makes her New York Philharmonic debut in Handel’s Messiah conducted by Gary Thor Wedow bringing a particularly stellar year to a close for this sought-after concert performer. Performances run from 16 – 20 December at Avery Fisher Hall.
Tilling has recently returned from New York after sold-out performances of Peter Sellars’ acclaimed production of Matthäus-Passion with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Sir Simon Rattle at the Park Avenue Armory. Elsewhere in the season she has enjoyed success at the BBC Proms with Bernard Haitink, at the Salzburger Festspiele with Christoph von Dohnányi and at the Tanglewood Festival with Manfred Honeck.
Next year continues on a high with Mahler’s Symphony No.4 with both Orchestre National de France and the Wiener Symphoniker, conducted by Robin Ticciati and Philippe Jordan respectively, before returning to London’s Wigmore Hall to present her brand new recital programme.
