Pablo Heras-Casado debuts with the New York Philharmonic
1/4/2014

Pablo Heras-Casado — Musical America’s 2014 Conductor of the Year — makes his debut with the New York Philharmonic in concerts from 2 to 5 April at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.
The programme features Britten’s Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes, Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3 — with soloist Peter Serkin — and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.10.
At the end of May, Pablo returns to the New York stage to lead the Orchestra of St. Luke’s as its Principal Conductor, in two concerts exploring the music of Pierre Boulez and George Benjamin alongside composers that were influenced by them. The concerts, which take place on 31 May and 1 June at the Rose Theater, are part of the New York Philharmonic’s inaugural biennial.
