Pablo Heras-Casado debuts with the London Symphony Orchestra
12/5/2014
Hot on the heels of an extensive and highly successful European tour with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Pablo Heras-Casado makes his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican on 14 May.
He conducts two 20th century Russian classics: Shostakovich’s Symphony No.10 and Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2, with LSO leader Roman Simovic as soloist. The programme opens with Ravel’s Alborada del gracioso.
Heras-Casado — who also made his debut with the Philhamonia Orchestra this spring — will return to the LSO for a concert in June 2015 with a programme of Sibelius and Berlioz.
