Tamara Stefanovich performs with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks conducted by Susanna Mälkki at Munich’s Herkulessaal on 28 March.
She is soloist in Salvatore Sciarrino’s Un’Immagine di Arpocrate; composed in 1974, the work is based on texts from Goethe’s Faust and Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus.
The concert, part of the orchestra’s Musica Viva series, also includes Mälkki conducting the world premiere of Georg Friedrich Haas’ Concerto Grosso No.1 – a co-commission between Musica Viva, the Tonhalle Zürich and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.
Stefanovich’s latest CD, featuring music by Thomas Larcher, will be released on harmonia mundi in April.
