Sakari Oramo collected the award for Orchestral Recording 2026, for the second volume of his reexamination and revival of the works of Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz. Gramophone called the release “genuinely outstanding”, both in the quality of the music, and as a celebration of the unique, special and transformative relationship between Oramo and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, of whom he is now the longest-serving Chief Conductor since Sir Adrian Boult.
