To become the new Chief Conductor of Lahti Symphony Orchestra means finding a home among these people, in their music and in the traditions they carry forward — and I’m incredibly grateful and honoured for that. There’s a trust in the air here that you can feel with every breath, and a curiosity I can’t wait to discover, nurture and share with our audiences and communities. Lahti is a unique place, full of tradition, with an orchestra that has its own distinctive voice. I’m excited about the music, the laughter and the long road ahead — and I cannot wait to begin this new chapter and see where it takes all of us. Forward.”
