Samuel Lee returns to the Cincinnati Symphony to conduct his first subscription concerts on 28 February and 1 March. The programme includes Farrenc’s Overture No. 2, Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. He is joined by pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet for Piano Concerto for Left Hand.

Lee then makes his debut with the Kansas City Symphony on 13, 14 and 5 March. Opening with Saariaho’s Du Cristal and Saint-Saens’ Cello Concerto No.1 with Santiago Cañón-Valencia as soloist, the second half is devoted to Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra, Op.30.
