KAHCHUN WONG STEPS IN WITH HONG KONG PHILHARMONIC

Kahchun Wong stepped in at short notice to conduct the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for three concerts at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. Wong leads the orchestra in Beethoven Egmont , Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4 and Beethoven’s Symphony No.4 on 17 and 18 January, followed by Mahler’s Symphony No. 7 on 23 January.
Wong returns again to conduct the Hong Kong Philharmonic for two concerts on 8 and 9 May 2026 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Hall. The programme features Wagner’s Tanhauser Overture, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with violinist Angela Chan, and Wong’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition with soloists of Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
