Andre de Ridder makes his debut this month with Orchestre National de Belgique performing a typically adventurous programme of works by Gershwin, Arvo Part, Louis Andriessen and Julia Wolfe, with soloist Colin Currie. This comes on the back of his return to Chicago Symphony for live presentation of the Kubrick film 2001; A Space Odyssey, and ahead of his performances of Kurt Weill’s The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny at English National Opera; his first engagement as Music Director Designate of ENO.
