Matilda Lloyd joins forces with the Ulster Orchestra under the baton of Cosette Justo Valdés at Ulster Hall on 5 December. Together, they will perform Robin Haigh’s LUCK, a trumpet concerto written for her and co-commissioned by the orchestra. This marks the concerto’s second-ever performance, following its debut at the Aldeburgh Festival in June 2024. The programme also includes Tchaikovsky/Ellington/Strayhorn’s jazzy take on The Nutcracker Suite and beautiful selections from Swan Lake.
