Pascal rounds off Boulez centenary year and conducts three world premieres with the LSO and Seong-Jin Cho
20/11/2025
Conductor Maxime Pascal, renowned for his interpretations of 20th-century and contemporary music, joins the LSO on 20 November for the orchestra’s annual ‘LSO Futures’ concert. In what is the orchestra’s final concert of the Boulez centenary year, the programme explores Boulez’ legacy on today’s composers and performers (Pascal and his ensemble Le Balcon worked closely with Boulez in his later years). Preceding the second half’s performance of Boulez’ Rituel in Memoriam Bruno Maderna are three world premieres: Omri Kochavi’s Gilufim and Sasha Scott’s Sly open the concert, followed by a new piano concerto by Donghoon Shin, performed by Seong-Jin Cho.
