PABLO HERAS-CASADO RETURNS TO OPÉRA NATIONAL DE PARIS TO CONDUCT WALKURE

Pablo Heras-Casado returns to the Opéra National de Paris to conduct Wagner’s Die Walküre from the 11 to 30 November, with the direction of Calixto Bieito. The production runs through seven performances and features a cast including Stanislas de Barbeyrac as Sigmund, Iain Paterson and Christopher Maltman as Wotan, Günther Groissböck as Hunding, Elza van den Heever as Sieglinde, and Tamara Wilson as Brünhilde.
This is the second of the tetralogy Der Ring das Nibelungen, that is being performed through seasons 2024/25, 2025/26 and 2026/27 with Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium. Heras-Casado conducts Siegfried, the third of the tetralogy, from 17 to 31 January; as well as the last instalment of the tetralogy, Götterdämmerung, and the complete cycle in the 2026/2027 season.
