
OREGON SYMPHONY EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH MUSIC DIRECTOR DAVID DANZMAYR

We are delighted to announce that Music Director David Danzmayr has extended his contract with Oregon Symphony through the 2028/29 season.

Since joining the Oregon Symphony, Danzmayr has strengthened and significantly advanced the orchestra’s sound with an approach rooted in empathy, balance, and a deep commitment to audience experience.
Highlights of the 25/26 season in Oregon include new commissions by David Schiff and Caleb Pakela and performances with soloists including Joshua Bell, Gil Shaham, Colin Currie, Christine Goerke and Storm Large.
