Samy Moussa makes his first appearance as conductor with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano at the festival MITO SettembreMusica on 5 September. His programme includes 2 of his own works — Symphony No.2 and Ahania’s Lament for female voice and orchestra,  Strauss’ An die Nacht and Shostakovich Symphony No.5. He is joined for the Strauss and Ahania’s Lament by soprano Ambur Braid.

Later in the Festival’s programme, on 8 September, Moussa’s Elysium and Sinfonia No.1 will be performed by Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai and conductor Tito Ceccherini in Torino.
