PIERRE-LAURENT AIMARD RETURNS TO LUCERNE FESTIVAL AND MUSIKFEST BERLIN
29/8/2025
Pierre-Laurent Aimard joins the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra and conductor Elena Schwarz for a concert at the KKL on 7 September featuring works by Ravel and Boulez as well as the Swiss premiere of Olga Neuwirth’s Tombeau I.
Just days later, Aimard makes multiple appearances in this year’s Musikfest Berlin. On 10 September, he performs Ausklang by his long-term collaborator Helmut Lachenmann with Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSB) in their season-opening concert, which also marks Lachenmann’s 90th birthday. Conducted by Vladimir Jurowski, this concert is set to be broadcast on Deutschlandfunk Kultur on 12 September.
Aimard then joins the RSB with baritone Omar Ebrahim for two performances of Schoenberg’s searing Ode to Napoleon Buonaparte on 11 September at the Konzerthaus Berlin and 15 September at Stadtcasino Basel.
