Pablo Heras-Casado has been awarded Best Musical Direction at the VII Opera XXI Awards for his masterful interpretation of Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Teatro Real in Madrid in April and May 2024.

The prestigious Opera XXI Awards, which celebrate excellence in opera across Spain and Latin America, held their 2025 gala on 17 June at the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia.
