The Royal Academy of Music has announced that Patricia Kopatchinskaja will be awarded Honorary Membership of the institution in 2025. This prestigious distinction is limited to just 300 outstanding musicians who did not attend the Academy and is conferred in recognition of exceptional contributions to the musical world. Kopatchinskaja joins a remarkable cohort of honourees this year, which includes GRAMMY-winning pianist Emanuel Ax, composer Unsuk Chin, sopranos Lise Davidsen and Pretty Yende, and conductor Nathalie Stutzmann.
