Consistently highlighted for the depth of character she brings to opera’s most psychologically complex roles, Ambur Braid adds Alban Berg’s Marie in Wozzeck to her repertoire in her debut performances for Opéra de Lyon. Richard Brunel’s new production under Daniele Rustioni opens on 2 October.

A longstanding favourite of Opéra de Lyon, this collaboration has brought forth multiple critically acclaimed debuts for Ambur including Eva (Schreker’s Irrelohe) and Die Färberin (Die Frau ohne Schatten).
