In August, Jean-Yves Thibaudet embarks on a tour with National Youth Orchestra (USA) and conductor Marin Alsop in South America, performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. The concerts take place on 5 August at Carnegie Hall, and continue to Montevideo on 8 August, to Buenos Aires on 10 August, to Rio de Janeiro on 12 August, and to Sao Paolo on 14 August. The rest of programme includes Barber’s Symphony No.1 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.
