Jean Rondeau and Marin Alsop at the Wiener Konzerthaus
16/6/2022
Critically acclaimed harpsichordist Jean Rondeau takes to the stage of the Wiener Konzerthaus on 22 October alongside Marin Alsop and the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, performing Francis Poulenc’s Concert Champêtre for Harpsichord and Orchestra.
Lauded in the press as “a prominent figure of the nouvelle vague of harpsichordists” (BBC Music Magazine), “a prodigy” (Toute la Culture) and “a wizard” (Gramophone), Jean Rondeau is the first early music artist to whom the Wiener Konzerthaus has ever dedicated a personal portrait, this being the first of three performance. Two more concerts are scheduled for early 2023.
