Congratulations to Eldbjørg Hemsing for receiving the Spellemann Prize 2020 for classical recording of the year 2020
Praised by critics since its release Eldbjørg Hemsing has just been awarded Norway’s Spellemann Prize 2020 for recording of the year in her category for her recording of the Grieg Sonatas on BIS. On 15 April she will join forces with Eivind Gullberg Jensen and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1, streamed live on the orchestra’s website. On 18 April at 10am CET, German Radio broadcasterSWR2 will air a 2‑hour long show giving insights to Eldbjørg’s life and career.
