Claudia Boyle, Jonathan McGovern and Derek Welton reprise their roles in A Quiet Place with Kent Nagano
This week, soprano Claudia Boyle, baritone Jonathan McGovern and bass-baritone Derek Welton reprise their roles of Dede, Junior and Doc, respectively, in Bernstein’s A Quiet Place with Ensemble Modern. The artists perform Georges Delnon’s semi-staged production at the Dresden Music Festival under Kent Nagano on 3 June.
Each of the artists end the 2014/15 season with further festival performances: Claudia goes on to perform at Edinburgh International Festival with Wide Open Opera in The Last Hotel, Jonathan will give a recital of Vaughan Williams songs at the London English Song Festival, and Derek will go on to make his BBC Proms debut, singing Bruckner’s Mass No.3 with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
