David Portillo joins Harry Bicket and The English Concert as Lucarnio in Ariodante on a tour of the US. Performances take place from 25 April at the Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor, Kauffman Centre for Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Theater an der Wien, the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg, Barbican, London and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
David has made a number of European debuts in the past year, including David in Die Meistesinger von Nürnberg at Glyndebourne, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at Oper Frankfurt and Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Dutch National Opera. He continues this streak next season at Deutsche Oper Berlin in Rossini and the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich in Haydn’s Orlando Paladino.
