Javier Perianes debuts with Chicago Symphony Orchestra
6/5/2016
This week Javier Perianes makes his debut with Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Falla’s Noches en los Jardines de España under the baton of Charles Dutoit in four concerts on 12, 13, 14 and 15 May.
Of his performance with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Dutoit in March, the Boston Globe wrote, “[Falla’s “Noches en los Jardines de España”] demands of its soloist an elusive blend of expressive confidence, subtlety, and poetry. Happily, the pianist Javier Perianes, here in his BSO debut, had these qualities in abundance.”
The concerts in Chicago follow on from a successful period with Atlanta Symphony last week where Perianes performed Schumann’s Piano Concerto. He will continue his US tour with The Cleveland Orchestra and New York Philharmonic later this season.
