Barbara Hannigan gives US premiere of Abrahamsen’s “let me tell you” with The Cleveland Orchestra

This week Barbara Hannigan performs the US premiere of Hans Abrahamsen’s let me tell you with The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, first in Cleveland, 14 and 15 January and then at Carnegie Hall on 17 January.

The performances follow the release of Hannigan’s recording of the work with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and Andris Nelsons last week by Winter & Winter in co-production with BR Klassik.

Hannigan gave the world premiere of let me tell you with Berliner Philharmoniker under Andris Nelsons, following which the Berliner Zeitung described the work as a “virtuosic, unconventional, enigmatic, and beautiful piece”.
