Lisa Batiashvili joins The Philadelphia Orchestra and Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin on a European tour starting on 21 May.

Lisa performs Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1, first at Philharmonie Luxembourg, then continuing to Cologne, Berlin, Dortmund, Vienna, Amsterdam, and finishing at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 5 June. The other soloist on the tour is Emanuel Ax. 

The tour follows Lisa’s ​“searing” (The Philadelphia Inquirer) performance of the same concerto in Philadelphia on 13, 15 and 16 May. She and Nézet-Séguin are frequent collaborators, and will work together again this summer at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.1
