Lisa Batiashvili embarks on a five-recital tour to the US and Canada with her regular duo partner, Paul Lewis.

The programme features Schubert’s Violin Sonata in A Major and Rondo Brillant, as well as Telemann’s Fantasia No.4 (for solo violin) and Bach’s Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland BWV 659 (for solo piano). The recitals conclude with Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.8.

Batiashvili and Lewis start the tour with a concert at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center on 25 March, followed by performances at Princeton University (26 March); The Royal Conservatory, Toronto (27 March); Jordan Hall, Boston (29 March); and Lincoln Center, New York (30 March).

The tour follows a successful Wigmore Hall recital of the same programme, where one reviewer remarked ​“their partnership is musically explosive, as well as immaculately precise” (The Observer).
