Camilla Tilling debuts at Dresden’s Semperoper in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande
19/1/2015
With previous success in the role at both Gothenburg Opera and Teatro Real Madrid, Camilla Tilling makes her debut on the stage of Dresden’s Semperoper as Mélisande in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande. The highly anticipated new production from iconic Catalan theatre group La Fura dels Baus is conducted by Marc Soustrot and opens on 24 January.
Swedish soprano Tilling has achieved an ideal career balance which allows her to split her time between opera productions and concert appearances. After a recent debut with the New York Philharmonic and a return to both the Berliner Philharmoniker and Orchestre National de France, her season continues to Vienna where she will sing Mahler’s Symphony No.4 under Philippe Jordan before productions of Die Zauberflöte (Pamina) at Opéra national de Paris and her debut as Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) at Drottningholms Slottsteater.
