Hannu Lintu is in North America in February, conducting number of concerts with the NAC Orchestra and the Houston Symphony.

On 5 & 6 February Lintu is in Ottawa to conduct the NAC Orchestra in a programme featuring Schumann’s Symphony No.4 and Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto with soloist Jon Kimura Parker. The concerts open with R. Murray Schafer’s Dream-E-Scape.

The following week, he makes a return to the Houston Symphony for a second time this season, with a programme of Ravel, Bach and Strauss on 13, 15 & 16 February. Emanuel Ax is soloist in Bach’s Concerto in D, BWV.1052 and Strauss’ Burlesque for piano and orchestra. Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales and Strauss’ Rosenkavalier Suite complete the programme.
