HarrisonParrott Group is delighted to welcome composer John Powell for worldwide classical management.
One of the most distinctive musical voices of his generation, Powell is celebrated for a body of work spanning concert music, opera, choral music, and some of the most acclaimed film scores of the past three decades. Most recently, he received the Academy Award nomination for Wicked, adding to a career that has produced iconic scores for How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne series, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Call of the Wild, Kung Fu Panda and Rio.
Renowned for his vivid orchestral imagination, emotional directness and ability to connect with audiences worldwide, Powell continues to shape the musical landscape across both concert hall and screen.
Alongside his screen work, Powell has built a significant catalogue of concert music. His large-scale choral work A Prussian Requiem received its world première at London’s Royal Festival Hall with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Chorus under José Serebrier, while his recording Hubris: Choral Works by John Powell showcased the breadth and ambition of his writing for voices. The 2027/2028 season will also see the premiere of his new fanfare written for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra with future works to be announced.
Renowned for his vivid orchestral imagination, emotional directness and ability to connect with audiences worldwide, Powell continues to shape the musical landscape across both concert hall and screen. We are thrilled to support the next chapter of his remarkable career.
Laura Engel at Kraft Engel Management will continue to represent John for his film work, and we look forward to working alongside her as we develop his classical activities worldwide.
