Nicolas Altstaedt begins his tenure as Artist in Residence at Maison Radio France on 10 September, taking part in the institution’s season-opening concert with Cristian Măcelaru and the Orchestre National de France. Altstaedt performs Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in a programme that also includes works by Bernstein and Enescu.

Across the 2026/27 season, Altstaedt will appear as both cellist and conductor in a series of projects. On 27 November, he joins Riccardo Minasi and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France for Walton’s Cello Concerto. He returns to Maison Radio France on 13 January 2027 for a programme featuring Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2, before presenting the same programme in Soissons on 15 January.
